Here's the place for YOUR BV-Cyber Success Stories!
Until we start hearing YOURS, Here's Some IDEAS....

How about hosting a "Bottles-Up'" event at your house? Gather a few of your friends to sample some of your favorite bottled beverages— spirits, soda or jazzy juices. Crank up the old computer (or maybe you're a real techie and can figure out how to make it work on your TV) Go to Folkstreams.net and watch the 28min. film featuring Grandma Prisbrey— "Visions of Paradise: The Art of Tressa Prisbrey"  Grandma and her sister Hattie will have you laughing outloud and you'll get a 1980 nostalgic look at Bottle Village.

Get in the "Grandma Spirit' and pass around the bottle on behalf of Preserve Bottle Village. Toss some $$ in that empty bottle, and don't forget a toast to the amazing woman who built Bottle Village!

Bottle Houses: The Creative World of Grandma Prisbrey

has tremendous potential for VOLUNTEERS and BV CYBER-SUCCESS STORIES !

*** Have a little fundraising activity for Preserve Bottle Village within your own circle of friends. Arrange a playdate and read Bottle Houses — talk about the importance of Recycling. Do an art project using recycled materials— there's tons of ideas at MakeArtNotTrash Talk about the importance of saving Historical Landmarks. Pass around a "Funky Grandma Hat" or a Special Decorated Bottle on behalf of Preserve Bottle Village and send along your donation to:

And if you or your children are into scouting... Last year, the Brownies did a "Try-it" patch— "Listen to the Past." You as a volunteer, or your Troop Leader can read Bottle Houses, which tells the delightful history of Bottle Village and its ingenious creator, Grandma Prisbrey. Bottle Village is on The National Register of Historic Places, California Historical Landmark No.939, a Ventura County Cultural Landmark, and is a City of Simi Valley Historic Site. (Simi Valley? That's another story...)

<Brownie "Try-It"— Listen to the Past

Within the world of Scouting, there's many opportunies to help Bottle Village. Some years ago, Cub Scout Pack 3661-Den 2 collected quarters— I still have that precious jar.....
